Crowned Heads is set to release the 2015 version of the Las Calaveras in April or May. The Las Calaveras is an annual release that represents a celebration and remembrance of people that have passed away that year. It is heavily influenced by the Day of the Dead celebrations. This is a limited edition cigar that was extremely popular in 2014 and helped put Crowned Heads on the map for a lot of cigar smokers. Similar to the 2014 version, the 2015 Las Calaveras will be made at the My Father Factory.
Here are the blend components of the 2015 Las Calaveras:
- Wrapper: Ecuador Habano Rosado. This is different from the 2014 version, which featured an Ecuador Habano Oscuro wrapper.
- Binder and Filler: Nicaraguan
The cigar itself will come in three vitolas:
- 5 5/8 x 46
- 5 x 50
- 6 x52
I will feature a preview of the 5 x 50 on the blog and on the podcast in a few weeks, so stay tuned for more information.
