For the second year in a row, the top overall pick in the Battle of the Bands draft has gone down. On Hector’s bracket, 6th seeded Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here continued the dominance in the 2024 tournament crushing Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. It was never close winning 78.6% to 21.4%.
The win by Wish You Were Here gives Pink Floyd the win in Hector’s bracket and secures them a spot in the Final Four.
In the process, Wish You Were Here took down the top three seeds in Hector’s bracket in dominating fashion:
- Round 1: Defeated third seeded Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main Street (87.5% of the vote)
- Round 2: Defeated second seeded Eagles’ Hotel California (70.6% of the vote)
- Round 3: Defeated top seeded Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours (78.6% of the vote)
Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here faces the winner of Surgeon’s bracket final between 2nd seeded Queen’s A Night at the Opera and 4th seeded Pink Floyd’s The Wall.
