AC/DC Confirms New Single “Shot in the Dark” to Be Released October 7

AC/DC is releasing a new album called “PWR UP” and on Wednesday October 7, the first single from the album “Shot in the Dark” will be released. It essentially marks a reunion of the legendary Australian rock band that had been in turmoil for the past five years.

It’s the first album AC/DC has released since 2014’s “Rock or Bust”. The lineup will consist of Angus Young, Stevie Young, Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd, and Cliff Williams. 2014 marked a turbulent time of the band. The new album brings Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd, and Cliff Williams back into the band. At the time the band was touring to support Rock or Bust, Johnson had to leave the Tour due to hearing loss issues. He was replaced by Axl Rose formerly of Guns N Roses. Meanwhile Rudd was also unable to participate in the tour due to being under house arrest for drug possession chargers. Williams had retired from the band.

Meanwhile the band mourned the loss of co-founder and guitarist Malcolm Young in 2017. He had been replaced by his nephew Stevie Young.

There has been no timetable for the full release of the PWR Up album.
