90s Madness: Dr Dre and Alanis Score Upsets and Advance to Elite 8

Dr. Dre and Alanis Morissette are going to the Elite 8!

On Hector”s bracket, third-seeded Dr. Dre’s The Chronic would rally from behind to eliminate second-seeded Green Day’s Dookie.  Dr. Dre’s victory was narrow capturing 53.2% of the vote.

Meanwhile on Dave’s bracket, third-seeded Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill had no trouble eliminating the 7th Beastie Boys’ Check Your Head. Alanis would capture 64.3% of the vote. With Alanis’ victory she is the first female artist to advance to the Elite 8 since Aretha Franklin in 2020.

The Elite 8 will feature the bracket finals of Hector Alfonso, Dave Burck, John “Cigar Surgeon” McTavish and Will Cooper. On Hector’s bracket final it will be top seeded Nirvana’s Nevermind against 3rd seeded Dr. Dre’s The Chronic. Meanwhile on Dave’s bracket it will be top seeded Radiohead’s OK Computer and 3rd seeded Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill.
