Prime Time Jukebox 2025 Battle of the Bands Tournament to Kick Off

This year, the Prime Time Jukebox Battle of the Bands Competition goes to the will feature a roster of songs. Two-time defending champion Hector Alfonso of Espinosa Cigars and John McTavish of Developing Palates join Dave and I to determine who drafted the best song. You the audience will decide this and we do have prizes to do so.

On Episode 165, Hector, John, Dave, and Coop drafted 8 songs. Each roster contains the following:

• 2 1970s Songs
• 2 1980s Songs
• 2 1990s Songs
• 2 Wildcards

Following the draft each participant assembled a bracket which is used to determine matchups. Beginning this week (6/21), we will post two matchups a day. You will vote on which song should go to the next round. Each participant will send a song to the Final Four. The Final Four will square off, and the winner will be determined. The winning album will give someone bragging rights – and be reserved for a special show.

One big change is the contest will run directly on the CigarJukebox.com site.

What Can I Win?

We will be offering incentives to vote. This year, the prize pool has been amped up, but it also requires your participation. Up to Four winners will be chosen this year. Prizes offered include the following:

• Romeo y Juliet 150 Ashtray
• Romeo y Julieta Cutter and Montecristo Pen

If we get 300 total valid votes in the tournament, a third prize will be added of two Espinosa Warhead challenge coins

In addition, if we get 600 total valid votes in the tournament, we will also draw winners for a $50.00 Amazon Gift Certificate.

How do I get a Contest Entry?

To enter you must place a vote on the CigarJukebox.com website AND LEAVE A COMMENT. Comments will be used to randomly pick a winner. One very important point, you must still vote. Ideally everyone should have a vote and a comment. If we see more comments than votes, we will disqualify the comments for prize eligibility for the matchup. We will use a 20% window to be flexible of Votes within comments which is more than fair.

Example:

• 25 Votes, 10 COMMENTS – COMMENTS COUNT TO VOTE
• 10 Votes 25 Comments – COMMENTS DO NOT COUNT (Too Many Comments, not enough votes within 20%)
• 10 Votes 12 Comments – COMMENTS COUNT (WITHIN 20%)

Note: For any suspected bots, we reserve the right to invalidate the matchup. The decision is final by Prime Time Jukebox and is not open to appeal.
