We are nearing the top 10 of the OOPS! series. It’s all coming to a head. Soon the music lists of all 2025 will be finished. This block has one of the more interesting collabs I ever heard of…but it works. There is also some new music here and some great R&B. I’m excited to share these tracks with you, so here we go!
15. Rosalia ft. Bjork: Berghain
Both Rosalia and Bjork have been vets on past top 50 lists…but never together on the same track. To say that this track is epic in scope is an understatement. It starts with a cacophony of strings, which flows into an operatic exhibition of incredible scale. Both Rosalia’s sexy Spanish vocals and Bjork’s haunting vocals are centre stage in this dramatic piece of art.
14. Addison Rae: Headphones On
Addison Rae has been around pop for a few years now with mainly singles and an EP. On her first LP, Addison, she mixes a bit of classic bubblegum pop with hints of jazz, R&B and a slight dash of indie….very slight, but it’s there. It has one of the best hooks out there and her couldn’t care less Brigitte Bardot vocal draws you in. A great debut LP for Addison and let’s hope there’s more.
13. Amaare: Starkilla
You want a sexy club song about dancing, hooking up and taking a ton of drugs??? Well, Amaare is here for you. There’s not a ton to this song…I mean…clubbing, sex, swearing and copious amounts of ketamine pretty much sums it up. However, I have to admit the energy and beat coming off this track is what landed it on the OOPS! list. Club music is one of our blind spots and this track will scratch your clubbing itch.
12. Cameron Winter: Love Takes Miles
This is the first…but not the last…time Cameron Winter shows up on the OOPS! list. I should have gotten to him on the top 50, but missed it. This solo record, and his band’s record were all over the place in 2025. This beautiful love song about the long haul of love and how love takes time is a great match for his unique vocal. Think Thom Yorke meets Jeff Mangum. I can’t wait to talk more about him later in the OOPS.
11. CMAT: Euro-Country
Ever wonder what it would sound like if Kate Bush made indie rock with a country slide guitar? Well, wonder no longer! CMAT is here to help you! This catchy classic indie rock gem glimmers with Irish born singer Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson’s (CMAT…get it…) theatrical, yet emotionally grounded, vocal. Her vocal is really what carries the track and gives it both a deep emotional core as well as the power needed to keep pace with the drums and guitar.
