COVID-19 has had its impacts on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction process. Today, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation told Cleveland.com, that the nominations process which normally takes place in the Fall has been moved to 2021.
The delay is a result of the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony being delayed until November 7th. Normally that ceremony takes place earlier in the year, but was delayed because of COVID-19. As a result, the nominations process for 2021 was delayed.
Typically the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announces nominees in October, and going through a ballot process announcing the inductees in the early part of the following year. For 2021, the nominations and inductions process will take place the same calendar yar.
