2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Projected Pool of Nominees

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is expected to announce its nominees for consideration to be a part of the 2021 class of inductees. The process and criteria is pretty much unknown. The following is a list of artists that I think could be nominees when they are announced. This is a pool, and ultimately the nominee list will consist of a subset of this list. One never knows the direction the committee will go.

Jay-Z is considered the front runner by many to get a nomination in his first year of eligibility. Look for Outkast, Oasis, and Foo Fighters to have a chance at a nomination.

Veteran artists like Cyndi Lauper, Boston, The Jam, Pet Shop Boys, Sting, Tina Turner, and Willie Nelson are long-shots, but given their track record, one of them could surprise many.

Kraftwork and John Prine could garner consideration. Kraftwork did get a nomination last year. Both Prine and Kraftwork’s Florian Schneider passed away last year and may gain momentum posthumously.
