90s Madness: Nirvana, Radiohead Easily Advance to Round 2

Top Seeds Nirvana and Radiohead have won their first round matchups and have advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2022 90s Madness Tournament

Nirvana’s Nevermind album, the top seed in Hector Alfonso’s bracket coasted to a win over 8th seeded Oasis’ What’s the Story Morning Glory capturing 76.9% percentage of the vote.

In Battle of the Bands 2020 and 2021, Radiohead lost in the first round both years on Dave Burck’s bracket. This year, Dave seeded Radiohead’s OK Computer as the top seed and the album cruised to a victory over 8th seeded Portishead’s Dummy capturing 72.7% of the vote..

On Hector’s Nirvana’s Nevermind will face the winner of 4-5 matchup between Eminem’s Slim Shady and Snoop Dogg’s Doggy Style. Meanwhile on Dave’s bracket Radiohead’s OK Computer will face the winner of the 4-5 matchup between Nas’ Illmatic and Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauren Hill.
