90s Madness: Pearl Jam and Metallica Cruise into Round 2

Top Seeds Pearl Jam and Metallica easily won their first round matchups and have advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2022 90s Madness Tournament. Pearl Jam and Metallica join Nirvana and Radiohead as the #1 seeds for the Sweet Sixteen.

Pearl Jam’s Ten album, the top seed in John “Cigar Surgeon” McTavish’s bracket coasted to a win over 8th seeded Tool’s Aenima album, capturing 72% percentage of the vote.

Meanwhile on Coop’s bracket, Metallica delivered a crushing blow to INXS. Metallica’s self-title Metallica (Black Album) would defeat INXS’ X album 83.3% to 16.7%

Surgeon’s Pearl Jam Ten will face the winner of 4-5 matchup between Nine Inch Nails’ The Downward Spiral and Depeche Mode’s Violator. Meanwhile on Coop’s bracket Metallica’s Metallica album will face the winner of the 4-5 matchup between Santana’s Supernatural and Creed’s Human Clay.
