Sofiane Pamart and Sia’s Gimme Love Orchestra: An Operatic Journey of Love, Despair and Triumph

It has been a while since Sia really hit my register. She was putting out Christmas music and a single here and there, but nothing really caught me. The early days of Titanium, Chandelier and Cheap Thrills seemed light years in the past and I wondered if Sia would ever hit those heights again. Pianist Sofiane Pamart’s single with Sia, Gimme Love Orchestra, sees her not only hitting those heights….but exceeded them. Spoiler alert reader…this is a top 7 song of 2026 and might be one of Sia’s best.

Sia fans out there will remember that this is a remix of an earlier track of hers, Gimme Love, on her 2024 release Reasonable Woman. However, this is a far cry from that 2024 poppy club version. With pianist Sofiane Pamart, who will also be in the top 50 of 2026, Sia comes out of the club and finds herself in Carnegie Hall. Gone are the 4/4 beats, blaring synth and neon electro riffs and in comes soaring strings, luscious piano and….space. In some of Sia’s club tracks you feel like you need to come up for air after being crushed by the track’s electro weight. Sofiane’s arrangement let’s you really breathe the song in and fill your lungs with beauty. Even though this is fairly stripped back…by Sia standards…there are still sweeping notes, textures and complexity. Most importantly, there is space left open for Sia to let her wonderful vocal soar.

There is some great Sia on this record. She really brings it with the vocal and her emotional range is impressive. The vocal is more slowed down and emotionally resonant than the 2024 version. She begs her lover to sing and dance with her, which embodies such emotional depth and complexity. At points her vocal is full of manic desperation, while at other times it harbours deep despair…but at all times it has a beautiful power to it that reminds you of how amazing Sia is when she’s at the top of her game. I think this is the best Sia performance in years and her vocal really cuts through and hits your soul.

There is not a lot to this song. Some strings…a piano…and a vocal…that’s about it. No modern production tricks, no club mix, no bass drop….it’s straight up. Without all the bells and whistles Sofiane and Sia captured a moment in time and brought us a deeply emotional tale. It may seem that such a simple song could be so epic and high concept, but this track punches well above its weight. I adore this song and it’s great hearing Sia in something so transformative.
