Before there was Smoke Inn’s Battle of the Bands, there was Prime Time Jukebox’s Battle of the Bands. It’s a March Madness style tournament of 32 musical artists to determine who is the overall winner.
The 2021 Prime Time Jukebox Battle of the Bands is the second edition. This year, Dave and Coop held a draft on Prime Time Jukebox Episode 31 where each picked 16 artists. On Prime Time Jukebox Episode 32, the artists were then seeded into brackets determined by Dave and Coop.
Who wins this battle will be determined by you! Starting Tuesday March 9th, 2021, we will have one matchup from Dave and one matchup from Coop. You will be able to vote for which artist you think should move on to the next round. We will go through each round on Twitter, until there is a winner from the Dave bracket and a winner from the Coop bracket. Then, Dave and Coop’s bracket winners will square off for who is the overall winner.
We will be offering incentives to vote. This year the prize pool has really been amp’d up! Three winners will be chosen this year. Prizes offered include the following (and we’re bringing in some goods from the “other” Battle of the Bands)
- A $50.00 Vinyl Me Please Gift Card (you heard us talk about VMP on Jukebox!!!)
- A Cigar Coop (Smoke Inn) Battle of the Bands Sampler Pack (This is the last one we have!)
- A Cigar Coop (Smoke Inn) Battle of the Bands T-Shirt (XL only)
To enter you will vote on the @Cigar_Coop Twitter account, Each time you RETWEET THE MATCHUP POST WIITH THE HASHTAG #PTJ, you will be entered in the drawing. You can retweet as many matchups as you want! The more you retweet, the more you will be entered to win (one retweet per matchup allowed). The prizes will be selected following the crowning of a winner of the competition.
Also, Dave and I will have Prime Time Jukebox Shows for the two winners of our individual bracket and the overall winner.
