2021 Battle of the Bands: Nirvana and Elvis Punch Tickets to Final Four

The first two tickets to the Final Four have now been punched. On Dave’s bracket top seeded Nirvana won the closest contest of the 2021 Tournament holding off 12th seeded Stevie Wonder. Meanwhile on Coop’s bracket Elvis Presley ended Miles Davis’ run in the tournament scoring an easy victory over the legendary Jazz horn player.

Nirvana would defeat Stevie Wonder taking 52.4% of the vote. It wasn’t quite a back and forth battle, but Wonder tied up the contest several times during the voting.

Presley was the 4th seed in the tournament and captured 61.1% of the vote over Davis. The King of Rock and Roll took the lead early and never looked back.

Nirvana’s win puts the grunge band in the finals of Dave’s bracket where they will face the Jimi Hendrix-Bruce Springsteen matchup winner. Meanwhile Presley advances to the Coop bracket Finals where he will face the winner of the Frank Sinatra – Paul McCartney matchup..
