80s Madness: Prince to Face Metallica for Championship

Once again, it will be Hector and John in the Battle of the Bands final.  In the second Final Four matchup, the top-seed in Hector’s bracket, Prince’s Purple Rain eliminated the top-seed in Dave’s Bracket, Guns N’ Roses Appetite for Destruction. Prince’s win sets up a battle with Metallica’s Master of Puppets, who as an 8-seed was an improbable winner of John’s bracket.

The matchup with Prince’s Purple Rain and Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction  was close, but in the end Prince pulled ahead in the late hours to win 58.8% to 41.2%

After crushing wins in the first two rounds, Prince’s Purple Rain has been involved in two tight matchups in the Bracket Final and Final Four.

• Prince Purple Rain 70.6, Rush Moving Pictures 29.4
• Prince Purple Rain 51.6, Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill 48.4 (Won Hector’s Bracket)
• Prince Purple Rain 58.5, Guns N’ Roses Appetite for Destructio 41.2 (Advanced to Finals)

The Championship Match is set to open Tuesday May 9, 2023 (U.S.). .
