The 4-13 matchups of the 2021 Battle of the Bands were completed. Dave’s bracket is proving to be the upset invitational as the Clash, a 13-seed easily defeated 4th seed Public Enemy. Meanwhile, the King of Rock and 4th seeded Elvis Presley had little problem defeated the 13th seeded Queen of Disco, Donna Summer.
The Clash would capture 62.5% of the vote in their victory over Public Enemy. The Clash came out strong early and never looked back. In the 2020 tournament, The Clash were also a 13 seed but were bounced in Round 1 by Bob Marley.
Meanwhile on Coop’s bracket, Elvis had no problems defeating Donna Summer capturing 73.3% of the vote. Summer’s loss was another for the ladies. The Women in the 2021 tournament have not won a matchup thus far and are 0-3.
On Dave’s bracket, The Clash move on to face 12th seeded Stevie Wonder. Wonder completed an upset this past weekend eliminated Beyoncé. Meanwhile Elvis advances to a “King vs. Prince” when he takes on 5th seeded Prince.
