2021 Battle of the Bands: Frank Sinatra Wins Coop Bracket; Advances to BOTB Finals

The Chairman of the Board is going to the Battle of the Bands finals!  In a very tough matchup on the finals of Coop’s bracket, 2nd seeded Frank Sinatra had to come from behind to defeat 4th seeded Elvis Presley. The win puts Sinatra in the Battle of the Bands finals against the winner of the Nirvana – Jimi Hendrix matchup on Dave’s bracket.

Presley gave Sinatra his toughest battle in the tournament. Presley held the lead most of the first 24 hours of the voting. The second 24 hours was another story as Sinatra and Elvis were neck and neck for most of the voting until Sinatra finally pulled ahead in the last 10 hours. In the end Sinatra won with 53.4% of the vote.

Sinatra was the 16th and final pick for Will Cooper in terms of selections of artists that would compete on his bracket for Battle of the Bands. Despite the sixteenth pick, Sinatra would earn the second seed. From there Sinatra would defeat Duran Duran, Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, and Presley to win the bracket and advance to the Battle of the Bands Finals.

The battle to decide the winner of Dave’s side of the brackets between Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix opens up Sunday April 11th.  On Monday April 19th, Prime Time Jukebox will air a special pre-game show between the two finalists and on Weds April 21st, the Battle of the Bands Finals will commence.
