The 2-15 matchups of the 2021 Battle of the Bands wrapped up the first round of the tournament. Both 2-seeds had no problem winning as Frank Sinatra and Jimi Hendrix routed Duran Duran and Nina Simone respectively.
On Coop’s bracket, the second seeded Sinatra captured 92.3% of the vote over 15th seeded Duran Duran – the largest percentage of votes captured by any artist in the 2021 tournament. Sinatra was the last artist drafted by Coop during the 2021 Battle of the Bands draft.
Meanwhile on Dave’s bracket, second seeded Jimi Hendrix would capture 80% of the vote over 15th seeded Nina Simone.
Frank Sinatra will now face 10th seed Billy Joel in the second round. Meanwhile Jimi Hendrix faces the 10th seeded Allman Brothers Band in Round 2. The Allman Brothers Band were the last pick by Dave during the 2021 draft.
Nina Simone’s loss eliminates all of the women from the 2021 Battle of the Bands Tournament. The women were 0-8 during the first round.
